Does GDPR affect entities outside of the European Union?

GDPR is the mnemonic for General Data Protection Regulation which is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).

All organisations in the EU including the UK will have to conform to these regulations as of May 2018. But interestingly enough organisations outside of the EU may also be subject to those regulations. It is incumbent upon all companies which in any way trade with companies in the EU to satisfy themselves as to whether or not they need to be concerned.

There are plenty of links on the web to articles setting out the steps for such organisations to take to satisfy whether or not they need to comply.

One way to ensure compliance is to implement a GDPR compliant HR system such as Ntuity.

Even if GDPR is not a concern for your organisation there are powerful reasons why a fully featured HR system is essential for well run organisations.
The failing of most HR systems is that they are not fully and seamlessly integrated into the organisation’s mainstream systems.

Ntuity is unique in that the HR functionality of Ntuity is fully integrated with the finance, workflow, collaboration, project management and knowledge management functions of the organisation.

Ntuity and it’s HR Module have been developed specifically for, and is used extensively by, marcomms companies of all complexions in 16 countries, it will work just as well for your organisation.
